Alone

I lie on the ground
Bleeding, in pain
Bearing the faults
Of all my sins
I writhe in agony
Wanting to shield myself
Tears fell from my eyes
I was blind,
I couldn't
Blow after blow
Sorrow impaled me
hard
Not knowing,
 not understanding
My spirit no longer alive
I was alone
Crouched to the depths
Of the lonely shadows
I've built for myself
