Alone

She sits alone feeling sad
She on her own feeling bad
he had enough and left one day
Why did he leave her in this way

He has no idea what he has put her through
Some may know but very few
Would put up with what she had for all those years
Many years spent alone shedding tears

She wanted so much to be love and respected
Is it so much to be expected
She did all that she could for him
Pampering to his every wimb

Is it so very much to ask
To have a relationship that lasts
All she wanted was to be held tight
And cuddled through the night

Now she goes out every Friday night
looking for love until the morning light
She finds herself picking up
Men only to the next day to drop

Just as quick like a tone of bricks
All she wanted them for was a quick fix
She thought that it would mend her heart
In fact what she did was far from smart

So many men do this to women
Leave and start a new beginning
Not realizing what they have left behind
A broken women left as helpless as a child

Fine rhyming and flow... a most sensitive appraisal of how many women are treated by the gruffer sex. ( 'whim' for 'wimb' and 'ton' for tone.') Marvelous emotonal content. Best wishes, Keith
