Alone

Alone

Alone

I sit

I wait

I contemplate

Alone

I am

I am not

I am here

I am not

Alone

But surrounded

Without peace

Forgotten yet not

Alone

In a city of millions

In a world of many

In my thoughts

Though not in my feelings

Alone

The last six lines are a complete poem without the rest of it, but the rest of it gives it a sweet build up, so nicely done!

This is one of the first few I penned last year and I can honestly say I haven't noticed that before! I think. It actually makes for more powerful poem that way. Thanks for the perspective and the advice. Much appreciated.
