Aloft a Tune of Yesterday

Moody Blues is playing through my speakers And my mind A gentle tune of yesterday that feels so Very kind Tuesday afternoon, a fairyland of awe Plays scenes of yesters' visions From youthful dreams I saw I close my eyes, time drifts away Aloft a tune, of yesterday

I remember 'Tuesday Afternoon' and 'Knights in White Satin' especially. I better 'Go Now' (1964), I guess. Thanks, BJ

They are quite underrated, methinks -- those Moody Blues! Thanks for the feedback, B.J.

Wow, I never heard that one! I thought I had all their albums, I guess I didn't! I'm listening to that one right now, thankful for Youtube :) It's very pretty, thank you Gershon! I also somehow had the misconception that Days of Future Past was their first album! Hmmm, Youtube just automatically went to the next song, "I'm Just a Singer in a Rock N' Roll Band", this is so much fun! I do love the Moody Blues!

I've heard that before Sara :) I use to sing with my sisters, brother and later brother-in-law, we made up some of our songs, it probably influenced the way I write my poetry :)

Moody Blues…great band! When it comes to music that tugs at your emotions few can rival this group. Loved the poem. John

I'm so blessed to hear this Heidi :) I am sitting here reading my comments, and looked up a song Gershon remembered of the Moody Blues, they are playing as I write this, oh my goodness, they are so amazing. I need to just rest in the arms of sweet tunes more often. So uplifted. Thank you so much for dropping by with your uplifting comment :) <3

i remember one friend of mine who absolutely adored their music. It was ok for me, but a few of their songs I did find so incredible: Nights in White Satin!

True, this one is stuck in my heart, it is so beautiful, peaceful and joyful! I really needed it last night, too much negativity in the world had me sinking quickly! I put the Moody Blues music on and was swept away on this lovely tune. Thank goodness I can simply Google it and there it is again. I used to own every one of their albums :)
