Based on a grisly but entertaining thriller that had a not-so-happy ending! I like my ending better because it's just desserts!

_________________________________________________________________________

As John Doe, killing people guilty of whichever deadliest of sins is theirs, I'm crazy, yet my character's in love with someone new for whom he greatly cares. My character won't realize that she was kin to the obese man, victim one, whom I had murdered very gruesomely. Two murders left of seven, then I'm done. The wife of a detective on my trail I'll kill and then surrender, but instead, the woman that I love will soon derail my plot to sever that poor woman’s head! I'll fail to kill the young detective’s wife. My fake and wrathful lover takes my life! 1) Date Written: Jan. 8, 2019 2) Name of Contest: Movie Magic 3) Name of Sponsor: Gregory R. You picked a good one Andrea. I never got to see this movie but heard about it I think. Someone already did Scarlet O'Hara. I will have to choose another. Best of luck with this entry. : ) xxoo

Oooh, very clever, Andrea. And you chose a movie that I, too, would have appreciated having a different ending. Nicely done for the contest! Hugs, Carolyn

I like the poem, but the movie - I still have nightmares when I think of it, and it is an OLD movie! I was surprise you chose that one but possibly for the same reason - once you see it, you cannot NOT see it. Good luck in the contest my friend.

Caren, I love thrillers!! I don't usually like gory movies but the plot of this one was SO engaging, it was not your ordinary thriller. High caliber for the genre!

Hi Andrea, I can't remember seeing this movie but that matters not. As a poetic piece it is excellent as your work usually is. Parts of the sonnet resonate with me. Maybe I saw a trailer for the movie. Anyway, I do wish you well in the contest. The piece reads like a winner to me. A thriller of a write. Your words paint such strong visions. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Hugs....Mike. XX
