Almost Happy!!
Always standing on the edge
a life I cannot gain
nearly, almost, not quite there
do others feel the same
quietly close to happiness
horizon within sight
to be content my only aim
I stretch with all my might
a knock, a kick, oh no you don't
I thought I had it then
a little glimpse of happiness
it came and then it went
is it even reachable
that feeling I yearn for
should I just console myself
stop reaching out for more
this can't be it, it's not enough
my quest will never cease
onwards, upwards, won't give up
my search for inner peace
