Almost Got Me
Stretched beyond limits
of ability
to participate in
open heart
nakedness
rebuilding
dead bolted
resolution
to
never
be
here
again
by myself
without
[hated] cynicism firmly
in place
in overanxious
anticipation
of indefensible abuse
by
your diligent perseverance
to turn
me
into a
fiercely hated
