Almost a Poem

Sunlight, almost gentle, finds breaks
through the forest canopy to a glade
still verdant, where it dries nights collective,
reflective dew as a child sits surrounded
by all that is natural, holding
gathered wildflowers, smiling and singing
her dreams.
