Almost

Sigh a ghastly sigh of relief, The rest is over now. Or is there more to come? The question stands tingling at your skin, Driving you from your hollowness into some form of day, Eyes wide closed and clouded with light so harsh, Tinge of luster sunset, Read like vortex deeper than one dare explore, Leaning closer and farther back, Dangling from selflessness, Edges of all humanity, Bravery? Torment? Even just bland discontent with the life outside these eyes, Never go back, Never go back there again, The sense that someone is glaring in, Watching with intent or intensely waiting, Snapping back into there, Betrayed by oneself only again and again, These dreams are but lies, Ending at the stairs, That you never try to ascend.
