Almost

I almost watched you die tonight
Your finger was on the trigger
I sat and watched you cry tonight
And curse your wretched life

We almost had to bury you
Put you in the ground
We almost had to kiss you goodbye
And see you in our dreams

We almost had to go on without you
Life would Never be the same
Not being able to see your sweet face
Or hear your infectious laugh

I made it to your door
Only to give you a gift
And happened to catch you
Saying your goodbyes

I got to you right on time
Twice in a row
Please know its fate
telling you to live- its not time to die

But I know you
I know life means nothing
So if your mad at me for ruining your plans
Oh well

You almost died tonight
You almost said goodnight
Please dont leave us my friend
You're worth so much more than that.
