The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Almond Joy

Seems Jacob, a biblical Mendel
Selected for spots, specks and brindle
Nuts, pop’lar with flocks
Produced stronger stocks
But Laban’s herds started to dwindle

(from Genesis 30)

Right on the money here, Jeff. You've tapped into an interesting idea: I've read commentaries on Genesis 30 which analyze and verify the 'Mendelian genius' of the Patriarch. Kudos, Gershon

We've joined a reading plan recently, with a chapter from the OT and a chapter from the NT each day. Although limericks aren't a terribly serious form, that's what came to mind reading, so that's what I wrote! I did a little better with the passage from Acts :-)
