Allowing

As dawn allows the sky its coloring,
and all of nature's stun becomes esprit.
I shift the morning's come to cherishing
thy memory as a hope encouraging.

Do wait, as if no ill's recovery
could change my faith, no cost enslaving be.
Allowing, as it were to time's decree,
the thought of you not change its force, still free.

As I have so allowed my heart in thee!
