I allowed u 2 make me feel sad
allowed u 2 control how I felt each day
I let u take me from happiness 2 sadness
as voices dropped and raised
Then allowed u 2 make me feel it was all my fault
allowed u 2 make me feel it was me who ruined the day.
I allowed u 2 abuse my love
allowed u 2 use it 2 hurt me 2
though I could see how u controlled me
the love made me blind
And when my sight would st@ returning
I allowed ur promises 2 cloud my mind.
I allowed u 2 make my day
allowed u, when u wanted, 2 take it all away
but the more I allowed, the more tired I got
until I decided that what I allowed
must stop.
I allowed u time 2 say
u had changed
allowed u 2 get close and let me know how u feel
and though I love
wish I could be with u
I just don't trust u anymore, 2 be allowed
