I cannot abide the smell of patchouli. It smells too "druggy" for me. But I sure get the "sneezing part" - which is what burning leaves can do to me also.

I like the smell of patchouli. It takes me back to the sixties and all the crazy things I did during those years! But, this is the season of burning, red eyes, sneezing and coughing for me.

The smell of burning leaves ignites feelings of seasonal change and a difference in atmosphere.. summer is truly over. Nicely done Milt...Delice

Thanks so much. I would love the smell if it were not for the sneezing fits ignited.

Ha, ha, ha! I think I've smelled patchouli before, and I don't think I ever want to smell it again! Touche, Milt!

Actually, I sort of like patchouli, but the burning leaves are a big, fat NO!

That burning smell lingers for days and continues until all the leaves are off the trees there's no escaping it. Tom

You're so right about that, Tom, and it is torture for people suffering from allergies.

Ah, Shirley, this is the time of the year when teary eyes seem to be in order.
