All Way Too Easy

Breaking through air
And all that I hear
Is my heart beating fast
Pulse throbbing in my ear

Taking all in-- mind going frantic
Yet calm overpowers in a high
I wanna look back and check,
But I can't risk it tonight

Running and running
--Everlasting energy
Just stick to the plan
Just get to safety

A few blocks to go
Start to slow down my pace
Hands in jacket pockets
Wearing my player face

Stroll a few blocks
27th and Bay
Parking deck to floor 4
And drive on away

Body erect, full of life and pride
Dial up my partner with a grin
"It's done. It went perfect.
There's not a trace left of him.

There was no reason to worry.
We had nothing to lose.
It was all way too easy
To kidnap and kill Truth."

what a great ending! a real turn about...I had thought the verse about madness...perhaps truth and insanity? I bet you'd like my verse on madness & creativity/art titled Part 1 Madness Rides on Moonlight & Part2 (wouldn't fit on 1 page..sorry!)

Oooh, that's a powerful statement at the end. You had me wondering where this was going to lead. Somehow, I feared she was being stalked, just trying to get to her car safely. Hitchcock-like twist! Nice work, Destiny. Love, Carolyn
