All Those Years

Six years old she watches as her life crumbles
Was it the divorce or the lack of parents? She'll never know.

She holds back the tears
 one more day

Fifteen years old she sits and writes
With paper all around this is all she has now.
There's no one to shed a tear to
Her only friend has died, what is she to do?

She holds back the tears
 one more day

With a family and life of her own
She has forgiven all she can

She has followed her heart and
accomplished her dreams

She will never forget the tears.
she held back all those years.

I believe that in the long run this is a happy poem, she has accomplished all of her dreams! Yes, there were tears that were held back, but I believe she let them all out with her "new life" the life of her dreams, and all of her forgiving...I could be wrong but that is just my interpretation! This is a very awesome poem Cory...I really like this write a lot!! Masterful Work!!
