All Things
All Things
Gentle raindrops falling
ever softly from the skies.
And hide the tender teardrops
that's falling from her eyes.
Silent prayers are whispered
there's no one else outside.
To see the hurt she's feeling
this pain that she can't hide.
Trees are softly swaying
almost dancing in the breeze.
Alone at last with her own past
she falls down on her knees.
Through the years and through her tears
she cries can anybody hear me?
And if you do why is it you
have never once come near me?
From the time that she was born
this world has gotten colder.
She continued sobbing
she felt His upon her shoulder.
I'll never leave you nor forsake you.
No I never will.
To the storm inside her
He commanded peace! Be still!
Tears subsiding no more hiding
joy replaced her pain.
Standing, understanding
she started dancing in the rain.
Not giving but forgiving
she finally understood.
What Jesus said, words in red
all things work for the good.
