All the Things You Do
As usual, you smile at my downfall
I will endure this pain and get on the ball
I must mend my broken wings to fly
I will lend you a hand as you pass me by
You will see me rockin the misery boat
You will smile with glee as soon as I'm gone
You will see me aboard the misery boat
You will wave goodbye and good luck to move on
Love is a tennis match for a game of two...it's all fake news and the bothersome blues
I will survive this hardship before me with nothing to win and nothing left to lose
Believe that I can escape these waves of emotion with or without your guidance
Relieve the scars that refuse to heal and make me smell your faithful fragrance
Too long have I been crying these tears of shame
Too long have I longed to belong in this love game
It's been a while since you've even considered my utmost needs
I must get off the misery boat and cut down some worthless weeds
If only you'd listen to my plea
If only you'd come clean to me
Go on and tell the truth of me and you
Instead, you left me in pieces out of the blue
I thought better of you
The things I say are true
I sought your voice of benevolence
I rode the tides of tribulation without your guidance
Now, I must leave
Please do not grieve
You should have gave me an ear to hear me out
Of course, you let me down without a doubt
I guess I will be rockin the misery boat
With or without you...it's the things you do
I suppose I will be on my own on this trip with this note I wrote
It's about all the things you put me through
