All the Fields Are Filled With Children
There's that child again
Running and jumping through
The crispy fields of wildflowers
Inhaling the fragrance
This little girl is free from guilt
That sweet one knows no hurt
Will envelope her till she succumbs
To the private pain
The day grows slim as she
Waltzes about feeling
Free as a child should always be
This is not the end
Salty tears escape
As dread and fear
Shadows of confusion drape round
Her tiny shoulders
"Save her!" I cry out
To no one there and then
I wake from the night in disbelief
I'm dreaming again
No one saved me after all
