All That's Left To Do
I needed you to be on my side
In a world so harshly scorn
I'm tired of putting up this fight-
Alone-with no end in sight
This ones not even about my pride
It's about the fact that I tried with every
fiber of my being-to abide-to the standard
they supplied
So that maybe my inner loneliness would
subside.
Now all that's left to do
Is accept that I can't count on you;
Pick the gloves back up and fight
For myself, because I know it's right.
