All That Matters

“All that Matters” 

Heather left us today
lost poetry in music 

there she sits 
with Chopin 
at her piano
playing solitaire
for a short while
waiting 
to be collected 

she reads the 
notes and keys
of earthly others

Love surrounds her 
that is all that
matters

into the welcome arms 
of long missing 
ethereal others

Love surrounds her
that is all that
matters

she moves forward
into her new realm
lovingly held 

Love 
surrounds her 
that is all that matters

It speaks as only poetry is able to speak, with a light shining through each syllable, each penetrating breath, so heartfelt, so breathless - like the moment a prayer is expressed.
