All That I Am

I'm a perfect example of man's imperfection
Now I’m doing time in a house of correction
And I know I’m just bragging to say I’m your man
But baby your love makes me all that I am

The days are so endless, the nights all the same
When my head hits my pillow, I’m calling your name
I hold you and love you till tears flood the dam
Cause baby your love makes me all that i am

I try to be strong, but the past won't erase
So, I just close my eyes and picture our face
And then comes a letter that says I’m your man
Oh baby your love makes me all that I am

I've never believed in angels and saints
And faith has never been one of my strengths
But if there's a heaven, you're part of its plan
Cause baby your love makes me all that I am

A sweet tribute; it is amazing how the right person can instil hope in the worst times.
