All She Had To Do Was Speak
' i carried you for
3 months
half a year
all i you haves a sacrifice
its what i deserve '
and what should i give?
what gifts worth this life that i live
can i speak honestly
tell you all 3
are silently held captive
' tormented child
what demon corrupts your thoughts'
you call me a sinner then ask
' whats wrong '
well at 5
and when i was young
id sit outside your door and cry
silently, for fear of sound
afraid of the monster that always came
to play after school
and touched in dreams.
you couldnt comfort
in too much pain.
maybe ill get brave.
dearest mother
ill spit.
our only connections genetic
true love wont hurt her husband
nor disregard the children
who revolve around you and your imagination.
