All of These Nevers

I would never dye my hair that color I thought
But then I did.
So scratch that one.

I would never raise my kids like that I thought
But then I did.
So I kept my opinions to myself.

I would never talk to my husband like that I thought.
And now I am.
And it makes me feel weird.

I think it is weird that….
All of these “nevers” have turned into “I do’s.
