I so wanted to give you what you asked for
Even though I could not comply, comfortably.
From where I stand, it's a mighty tall order,
To comment on why I haven't commented.
I feel half of these works are an attempt at ego bolstering,
And y'all KNOW who you are.
I feel some are here for favorable reviews,
Not honest observations.
So, on that, I defer commenting...possibly indefinitely.
I thrive on harsh criticism, not the flourish of pretty accolades.
I admit, I like to be liked, but not at the expense of my work.
Some have dared to critique me; HURRAY!
You are the blessed in my book!! You are the true.......
I will end this with a very old saying:
SMOOTH SAILING NEVER MADE A SKILLFUL SAILOR.
