All of Them.....

I so wanted to give you what you asked for Even though I could not comply, comfortably. From where I stand, it's a mighty tall order, To comment on why I haven't commented. I feel half of these works are an attempt at ego bolstering, And y'all KNOW who you are. I feel some are here for favorable reviews, Not honest observations. So, on that, I defer commenting...possibly indefinitely. I thrive on harsh criticism, not the flourish of pretty accolades. I admit, I like to be liked, but not at the expense of my work. Some have dared to critique me; HURRAY! You are the blessed in my book!! You are the true....... I will end this with a very old saying: SMOOTH SAILING NEVER MADE A SKILLFUL SAILOR.

jim if you want to be critqued, you can always post on the "high critique" on the forum. I personally liked this poem that is why I am giving you this comment. And I think it is worth a 6 rating so I am giving you that. May be you can be at least as charitable if you read my work. Regards, Charles

Good afternoon Jim. The weekend and half this week are gone and this is the first I have had a chance to read. Had so much drama in my life. Really feeling good reading poetry today. Glad yours was among them but....I must tell you I am not a pro and so I feel I can not criticise your writing. I did however enjoy reading it. Love, Carol
