All It Takes Is Surrender

All it Takes is Surrender

Let me show you how I can save you
Let me tell you who you are
To be the Master of your needful
I must understand
What you are

In this world where you are not sure of where to stand
In this life of too much choice
With the knowledge of a different voice
All your doubt
I can erase
And in my mirror I will reveal you
Let me give you
Your place

Let me show you how you can free me
Make me more than I am
And in your mirror you will see me
Give to you what no one else can

All it takes is surrender
To relinquish every doubt
Let me reveal your hidden beauty
Its truth and its security
In the dark and sensual light of your soul
Lays the other half of the
Inseparable

All it takes is your surrender
Give yourself
Up to me

And I will give you the promise of my princess
Become the centre of my being
Without the counter point of your submissiveness
I become lost and as nothing
All it takes is surrender
For the giver and the taker both to win
The offer is our salvation
In a world which is forever struggling

And I will stand before you
Liberated by your bended knee
Give to me in your willing slavery
Give this your gift to me

The opposing forces of decision
The opposing forces of excitation
Male and female in life’s united circle
Beast and angel
Is how we were meant to be
Together we will be stronger
There will be nothing we can’t face
In this world of uncertainty
We will know
Our place

All it takes is surrender
To move your life into this grace
All it takes is surrender
For you to know
Your place

This is an excellent poem. I like how the title resonates throughout the poem, and how the essence of surrender is reinforced. Great job and welcome to Poetry Soup! ~Joseph
