All is Right
In a thousand years, I never would have guessed
How this life would go, sometimes at peace
In my soul, while sometimes I’d be stressed
Never would I have known, the way it all would go….
God has this world in the palm of His hand
And even when I’m afraid,
Feel like it all could be sinking sand,
I know He is strong and it will go as planned
In a million years, I never would believe
The way this life would go, the changes, the greed
The feelings dark and lonely, how I’d grieve
For the dreams that would never get a chance to be
God knew everything before I’d even see
Beyond the tears, the fears, the years
All the answers, the prayers, His love free
A heart, a soul, a spirit shining bright, a soft light…
In a lifetime, these memories, these nights
Would be flooded with the wonder, the joy, the grief
All the reasons that my pen still writes…
Stories of love, hope sent down to reassure
The songs of a spirit who believes in the grace
Grace from Jesus, who has always been pure
Jesus, who abides inside my soul, the best part
In a lifetime, the prayers and the praise
I’d never have imagined I’d have what it takes
But, time has taught me love that can amaze
With all its gentle, its light and its faith
In a lifetime, I’d never stop the love
Love from a Spirit, His presence so warm,
Sent from the Father in heaven above
To teach me to give when the flesh only wants
I want God to know, though… whatever might be
He is my purpose, my prayer and my praise
He is the answer to my heart’s grief, and I see
Beyond all my shadows, the love that will never leave
This love is a love I believe
In Jesus, I will always believe
It’s Jesus who comforts when I grieve
It’s Jesus who can always relieve
In a million years, I’d never imagine the light
That shines from His Spirit as He makes everything all right.
