All I Need Is Love
In life's vast desert, I wander, lost and worn,
A traveler seeking solace, a heart that's torn.
I've played with fire, and I've been scorched and bruised,
My heart, a canvas, with scars that will not be reused.
I've searched for love, a fleeting dream,
A gentle breeze on a summer's scheme.
I've been made a fool, a jester in the night,
Longing for a love that's pure and right.
Is it too much to ask, just one soul to care?
One heart to beat, with love that's true and fair?
To be accepted, flaws and all, to be loved for who I am,
Without condition, without judgment, without a hidden plan?
Oh, the silence is deafening, the emptiness profound,
A cry for love, that echoes, unbound.
I scan the horizon, for a glimpse of hope,
A love that's strong, a heart that won't cope.
There are so many birds, with wings so free,
But none seem to fly, my way, to set me free.
I yearn for one, a love that's real,
A love that's mine, a heart that will reveal.
Lord, if You're there, please hear my plea,
Send me someone, who'll love me, wild and free.
Grant me a heart, that's pure and true,
A love that's strong, to see me through.
For all I need, is love, to heal this heart of mine,
A love that's real, a love that's divine.
I'll hold on to hope, that someday, I'll find,
A love that's mine, a heart that's intertwined.
In the darkness, I'll hold on to faith,
That love will find me, and I'll be set free to breathe.
For all I need, is love, to be loved, to be free,
To be accepted, to be me.
