All Hallows Eve

Halloween was once celebrated
on November 1st not faded
I adore both days for gala
intuition finds Mala

I celebrate it as All Saints Day 
I'm vegan and would have nothing slain
even if it wasn't against the law
that would be that final straw

Fall equinox is here
that means the winter solstice is drawing near
on this day I put a sliced apple under a tree
for wildlife here in Tennessee

I'm not a witch if some do wonder
I just consider earth my true mother

The men who feared women getting too strong and taking over their society turned them into evil witches in stories, hoping they would not get the upper hand.
