All Good Things Fade

All good things
They end
Not in spectacle
Sometimes quietly

Hands slip away
Laughs fade before life’s punchline lands
A book closes
You’ll never read it the same again

Seasons turn
Leaves fall like confessions nobody asked for
Bright days bend
They fade
Like sunlight slipping through your fingers

Endings
They don’t ask
They just come
Tide washing over the shoreline
Slow at first
Then everywhere

Endings prove
You felt
You lived
You held something worth holding
Loved something worth losing

All good things end
But leave traces
A spark
A ghost
A shape in the sand
Only you will understand

And maybe
Maybe that’s enough

This is a verse that goes to the heart. The losses become regret. Personally, I've blocked a lot of things out (sometimes they sneak back in). I wish all endings were joyful.

Indeed they do creep back in sometimes. We are only human after all. Thanks for reading and sharing your experiences.
