Children love
Not only with words
Or with deeds
But with hearts
And souls 
And beliefs

They love beyond words
Beyond thoughts or ideas
More than we can reveal
With mere poetry or prose
With a heart of pure gold
And a soul inspired by faith
Believing in God’s promises
Honoring souls who honor Him
And believing in dreams that have
Been hesitant and hushed
But poured music across souls
In a dance of love and joy
A caress from the hope that anoints
The soul to be stirred by passion
Grace and an everlasting praise

Children pray
Not only with words
Or with deeds
But with hearts
And souls
And beliefs

Children leave feelings
Breathless rays of pure light
Pouring over the thoughts
Whispering insight, inspiration
Intimacy and incredible truth
Raining down like dewdrops
On the morning prayers

Children love
Not only with words
Or with deeds
But with hearts
And souls 
And beliefs

Children light up with laughter
Heal with a faith that lasts
Plant wonders as seeds from joy
Water them with hope and wonder
Nourish them with faith and grace
And, when they share their beautiful 
Blooms, pluck them so they can share
The experience of a love so rare

Children love
Not only with words
Or with deeds
But with hearts
And souls 
And beliefs

God blesses them – these children
Who live on a prayer and praise
With their hearts, souls and minds
In ways that are so hard to design
But can only be felt with the dawn
On the light of an enchanting thought
Embracing the darkness and lifting
The gray so that morning drifts
Into focus, enchanting, enlightening
Enticing the heart to hold hope
And never give up on their dreams
Their ideas, their music that thrills
Their dance through a colorful earth
Who fills their hearts with blessings
And reminds them to always praise Him
The One who created everything so special
With a love that shows them how to live
A love that reminds them to give
A love that is the Father’s sweetest gift!
