Notes About The Poem

All Alone in a Lonelyland

I woke up in this place
Where everyone was not so
Different from me yet different none-the-less
But it didn’t seem to matter much
It’s not like I’m living the “dream”
And everyone else
With their upside-down smiles
Seems so lonely to me

The mind is a terrible thing to waste
So, stop wasting it ...
Go ahead, be proud of your works, paste up poems
All over the walls like posters
Magnetize them on the Fridge door
Copy them and hand them out like flyers
Put them under windshield wiper blades at the Sooper Market
Post them on www.poetrysoup.com (it's free!)
And last but not least, go ahead and
Hang them from your neighbors' mailboxes
I promise,
The mail carrier won’t mind.
