Alkebulan My Africa
The brown continent, the mother of humankind,
Oh Africa! a land of extremes, a continent where life began,
Yes, the Garden of Eden.
Land of marvels & wonders.
Beautiful yet unappreciated,
You've been robbed &left desolated yet Richly blessed,
You've been moved from mouth to thee end of the earth,
You've been made to live with deprivation, yet
you learned to survive.
Africa! great Africa, my motherland!!
Your rivers are the measures of your tears
Your dusty soil is the measure of your pride,
Your mountains stand tall as the giants of Africa.
Africa, you're the ocean of wisdom,
A fountain of knowledge,
A diversity of thousands of tribes & languages,
A land free from tyranny,
Where, freely, all birds could fly.
Oh! Africa my Africa!
Land of warriors & conqueres.
Your wounds mark the battles you've won,
Your streams& valleys symbolises your hidden scars,
Your land is blessed with unity & uniqueness.
Nothing is useless in my land, in you I take pride!!
Land of beautiful creatures!!
The sun shines throughout your world, lightning
your beauty & humility.
Your freshwater lakes are full of life,
Your Diani beach stretches gracefully beyond the horizon, promising the beginning of great journey not
the end.
