Alien Review

I landed on this planet Many moons ago A lot of things still baffle me Though a few things I do know This world is full of beauty Yet, it really puzzles me That this strange race of Earthlings Always fail to see They are an aggressive race I think to say it’s fair Their main pre-occupation It seems is tribal warfare True, there are good and bad But the bad have all the power Very strange state of affairs The taste it leaves, is sour Religion they deem important They preach love and peace Then go to war in the name of God It never seems to cease They have this thing called money That I really must condemn Why do they pay to live on a world, That already belongs to them? They work and slave all day They struggle and they toil And they still have to rely on Fossil fuels like oil And they still mine for coal Burrowing underground They have not harnessed free energy yet The oldest energy found They are still a backward race Childlike and immature Best to leave them well alone They’ll grow one day, I’m sure I need to report to my elders So that it is understood Earthlings are not ready yet To join the galactic brotherhood ©Gary Wayne Hill, 2019
