Alien Poetry
As I sit back in my reading chair
And place a book upon my thigh
I can't help starring into space
through my window, at sky
In between, "Here and There"
Not just worlds, but time divides
Could it be just empty space ?
Are there poets, on either side?
Perhaps one day, ages hence
We'll break through this human thrall
and live and write in a world
were poems need not rhyme at all
When some say there's such a place
I bow my head, in silent mirth
Light years away, is what they say
And they call that planet, " Earth"
God Forbid .....lol
