Alien Archaeologists Visit Earth

A team was surveying planets in the Milky Way
When a visit to Earth they decided they’d pay
Their flying saucers hovered above the ground
While scientists got out and looked all around
By a huge meteor impact it’d been devastated
They studied the remains to see how it rated
On discarded cellular phones lying all around
Thousands of similar messages they found
The archaeologists carefully analyzed
The results made them quite surprised
“OMG” and “WTF” were on every screen
But they soon determined what they mean
In monosyllabic grunts they communicated
In the last seconds before being eliminated
Low intelligence creatures lived on here
So never would have been a species to fear
