Akula Voyage 2015

AKULA VOYAGE My wish is just to go to sea forgetting everything that's me on Akula, the boat I've never seen, forgetting everything I've ever been. To feel as free as gulls who fly not bound by earth, nor in the sky, away from everything I'll never know, that takes me places I must never go. Away from love, away from hate, of born too soon, or born too late. To drift as islands, in the tropic stream, on Akula, my ghost of only dream. My wish is but to leave within our wake What love is left, after my last mistake. © Ron Wilson aka Ron Arbuthnot aka Vee Bdosa the Doylestown Poet aka a few other poets names down through the years I have even forgotten.

A 7 for this reflective tribute to a boat that's more than a boat. A refuge. A place away from every place. A place of it's own. Nice to see you here sir. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work here at soup.

Hey Ron...We did not lose Akula in Hurricane Katrina. We lived on her until they rebuilt our house that we had just finished building...LOL...though certainly not funny back then....So good to see my favorite Poet back on Soup....we love you much. Thanks for the advice you gave Edwin Hofert...he's almost as good as you are...ALMOST....
