Air Lilies
from a solid rock burst open like a watermelon
gushing out life-giving red and seed from within
joyful song overflows like a waterfall
the young spirit springs and whirlpools
floating away like a hot air balloon
setting on the fluff of clouds at noon
of colourful hues like chocolaty smarties
on heart shaped tattoos and sweet cookies
cool spray carved off smooth rock
summer breezes from the tongue of a frog
the aero-trains threw open the imagination
as submarines propelled the ocean to endless navigation
at play as children grew minds like air lilies
wide-eyed natural beauty of wild flowers
bubbling with smiles of wonder like big windows
sunshine in a pot of gold like the birth of a rainbow
