Air and Earth

Everyone knows about fire and water, Their contentious relationship, The flames, the fire, the passion. You’re smothering me! Fire says, Their relationship drowned one moment, then steamy the next. Everyone can hear the crackling from miles away, Can see the smoke. But no one talks about air and earth, Their relationship is quieter, more solid. Earth keeps air grounded, Air lifts up earth when she is down. They shape each other, Make each other beautiful.
