Aimless

lost inside my head
trapped, without means of an escape
I'd scream out for help if I could
but silence is all I can muster
the depth of solitude
in my soul is too deep to measure
I cry the tears of pain
and think the thoughts of madness
isolated on an island
nothing around me but ocean
I try to swim to safety
but drown, instead, under the wave of despair
