Ah,Taking the Losing Side
We lived apart from each other
and became strangers,
we went down the lonely path
forgetting we were lovers;
did we realize what we missed,
all the closeness we held dear?
Time can be a reminder
of our joy and our worth...
that's what we have wasted!
Ah, taking the losing side
isn't always the best choice,
when we get so angry
words don't make any sense:
they hurt on the inside,
they only cause misery!
Ah, taking the losing side
it's admitting the guilt,
it's denying who's at fault
and expect much hurt!
Days don't have
the same outcome as our intention,
they are different in their perception,
don't take them in stride,
live them out;
whatever they promise
little or a lot,
breathe and feel alive!
Ah, taking the losing side...
is putting away all pride;
first, consider how much it will cost
and be ready to expect the worst!
Ah, taking the losing side...
is going down the mudslide!
