Ah, to comment
Ah, to comment
To filter through the mind
The thoughts of another
Allow them to permeate
Slowly trickle o’er the soul
Stimulate, ignite, sooth
A reader’s need to feel
To tremble, to shudder
Or laugh at whispered folly
Or touch another’s tear.
To read and read again
Lest your comment miss
A tone or thread
And fall, yet rise again
In praise of courage
Marching on a vacant page
Danger shared by the reader
Uniting in a stream of words
The distant touch of poetry
Soft words tossed as roses
At the passing thoughts
Of a misty sunrise
