Ah, Those Stunning Medical Residents

Oh, Medical Residents

Perhaps, nowjust, perhaps, it was worth it to break my knee and thigh?
As those groovy young Med students, made me so heavily sigh!

All had a full head of the hair plus all their teeth, oh wow!
None had wigs or false choppers, like a lonely cow.

It was heaven for me as they busily made their rounds.
I just batted my false eyelashes and made very soft, purring sounds.

Who wants to date older men, most assuredly not me!
Lock me up forever with the young ones, and throw away the key!

Being young, avante-garde, handsome, and smart?
I think is heaven sent, they all hold a special place in my heart.

Tis no joke my physicians name was Dr. Wild.
I dreamt nights away....off being his “wild child.”

          Memories of my Recent Hospitalization

                      Panagiota Romios

I can relate to this. I was not in a med center but I go to a cancer three times a week. Nothing livens an appointment as when the nurse asks permission to bring in a med student:-) I explain that I am a retired teacher and want people in medicine to learn all that they can. They are welcome at my appointments. I ask them about what they are studying that could be helpful to me. I usually tell them how impressed I am.

Outstanding, Madelyn. To have you share this with students/ residents. And us..God bless you on the road to recovery. Thank you for supporting me in my poetry. And in remaining positive... I am an overcomer...nothing harms me...the Devil in human form...tries but nothing stops me..i have been beaten, shot at, and worse. You know my history. I keep going....so do you! Merry Christmas! So glad you liked it. One has to laugh even in the most bleak moments....don’t you agree? I was really having fun with the staff. No, I never wore false eyelashes. ))) Love, Pangie xx

Dr. Wild -- I imagine he's no child. Tear up that coupon for diapers, ok?! :)
