Ah

stretched taut against a golden sun
whipped by a salty breeze
white sheets entice sea-fragrant skies
earth's pungent scent seize

weary skin and bone . . . sinews worn
surrender to the fine
cotton softness perfumed by clouds
heaven and earth entwine

Thanks, Maurice. I appreciated the visit and comments. I am getting back in the grove slowly after a long break for moving and getting settled in a new home.

Thank you, David. I have been away for several months, getting moved and settled in our new Florida home. Hoping to be present here more often now. I appreciate your reading my poem and your encouraging comments.
