“I fall behind the age I am, to keep as youthful as I can.” I'm age advanced, but who could tell I believe I hide my age well Face makeup covers the truth When one's lost the glow of youth And dressing in up-date gear That hide bulges that appear I'm age advanced, but who could tell I believe I hide my age well.

It comes to us all Beryl, but we have no worries as we’re all spring chickens on this site, well, who knows any different lol. Take care, Richard

Dear Beryl, as your poem so elegantly alludes, a joie de vivre is all you need. There is still excitement and fun to be had. A joy to read, uplifting! Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Thank you Susan, when gracefully growing older, gals have to enjoy life to the full, or else things would be decidedly dull…. Beryl

Hey Beryl, what a cute, apt, real poem about women and hiding their age, yet these days, men don't fall far behind us! I love it, best of luck in the contest. lots of love my friend, Jennifer.

Hirrah, for you, Beryl, this was a nice light read. Updating the wardrobe is crucial. Plus your attitude means everything, That will keep you writing and young as the fresh air as Spring. Pangie

Quite right Pangie, a gal has to look her best and there’s nothing as good as wearing a new dress. Hurrah for you too, keep on glowing as you do… Beryl

The years bring on the fat, the joint pain, and so much more. We have to struggle sometimes to maintain. We spend our money on plastic surgery, a membership to the gym, we do so much to keep looking young it never ends. This piece of yours Beryl reminded me of all the work it takes to maintain our looks and bodies. Thanks for sharing...

Oh yes the pain and the weight gain, it’s not much fun growing older, but we have to grin and bear it. Thank you Michael… Beryl
