Age

Moments ago, my heart leapt with joy
From my mother's womb,I saw the birds gyrating
To the azuric skies. My fragile frame galloped
In fear of that which contorts my looks- Age.
Every minute gone by dances with you. Your
Trickish ferocity sweeps away the beauty of time,
With your windy, cowering syndrome of wrinkles
Locked in your soggy, wispy clouds, wiggling our
Gullible minds.

Subtle antagonist that diminishes our vigour and mocks
The exuberance of our noontide, ebbing and pecking
At the flowery fruits of our dawn. With your increased
Burden, the wine of wisdom fills our thirsty minds
And your breathe evokes our evenings of tears.

Where age begins,life ends
Where age ends, life begins.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
