Against the Wind
Walking through the
cold city
A man seeks
warmth
All the stores are
closed now
The air is bitter and
the wind cuts him
like a knife
He walks down
a side street
stopping in front of
a large building
which cuts off the
wind
He yearns for
some hot coffee or coco
Persisting, he braves
the elements,
find his way to his place
Soon a kettle is
on the boil
and lights are shining
In the winter time of our souls
we must seek warmth
or perish
