Against An Oppressive Sky
They raised their fists to strike his head
The poor soul fell and bled
They hated him for his belief
He lived a life in pain and grief
They raised their feet to strike again
But his body was then numb in pain
He sweetly chose to lay his breath
Than to live in shade of death
For it's better to give that breath away
Than to live forever under skies of gray
No one wants a lifetime under an oppressive sky
When one can simply choose to die
For if for his belief someone should suffer
An endless hate and batter
Better for him to go to a place
Where his soul can live in peace
