Again

Here we are again...
Strangers still... 
Here comes the pain again... 
Time for another pill...
I hear those screams again...
As the dark fights with the light...
I think of you again,
as I sweat in the August night... 
The air is still and dead,
like the whispers in my head...
I drink one more and with a sigh, I stumble off to bed...
