Afternoon Whisperings (Double Etheree)

AFTERNOON WHISPERINGS (double Etheree)

Woods
Deep dark
But just see
An open spot
A verdant clearing
Where I spread my blanket
Run my hands through wild clover
Settle down my head in the clouds
Billowing but sparse and distant
A rustle in the forest brings me round

Sun
Through trees
Warm drifting
Just sniff the air
Sense the tiny flakes
Particles are unseen
Except in afternoon sun
That thing of mind goes whispering
Breathing summer secrets in my ear
“You are never alone
                           never alone”

YOu did GREAT with this one, Daver. Did you know i love etheree so much, I even did a book called For the Love of Etheree. You do the form justice with these find samplings of it! What is this "Thing" you are talking about doing with short forms? Is it this form, etheree? Luv, andrea

Wow! The etheree form is challening in single stanza and here you have created to that work well together. Good use of imagery. I like the title. Keep up the good writing. Thank you for your kind comments. Karen
